1. Eliminated use of hot water and detergents in washing machine. Product is called Laundry Pure.
Comment by Dennis Gillen May 27, 2008 @ 2:49 pm2. Installed whole house energy management system called PowerwoRx. Effectively slows down the electric meter through energy conservation measures.
3. Installed the Rinnai tankless hot water heating system.
4. Updated HVAC system to state-of-art system by Bryant.
5. Replacing standard light bulbs with energy efficient bulbs.
1. Through material substitution and process changes , Carpenter’s Conover facility has reduced it’s hazardous waste generation by 99% compared to the 1980s.
Comment by Will Robin June 11, 2008 @ 3:13 pm2. Also through process changes and material substitution, this facility has reduced Hazardous Air Pollutant emissions 99%+ compared to the ’90s.
3. Through significant investment in state-of-the-art production equipment, the Conover facility has reduced VOC emissions by 70% over the past 5 years.
